Our Children and Young People ADHD Assessments (Ages 7-17)
At Mentalwell, we understand that seeking support for your child or adolescent can feel overwhelming. That’s why we offer clear and simple steps to help you manage. Our assessments are exclusively conducted by psychiatrists who adhere to NICE guidelines. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and prioritise our patients’ outcomes and wellbeing in everything we do.
Start Your Journey
Our ADHD assessments for children and adolescents offer a clear path to understanding your child's needs. It includes an array of pre-assessment questionnaires gathering information about your child's symptoms, daily experience and medical history, an online consultation with one of our expert psychiatrists, and a detailed diagnostic report outlining our findings. During the video call, our clinicians will use age-appropriate methods and questionnaires to gather information about your child's symptoms and behaviour. Following the assessment, you will receive a summary letter that includes a clear diagnosis for your child.
Experience Comprehensive Support
Get ongoing support for your child with our Complete Care package. This includes everything in the Assessment Only plan – the expert assessment and detailed report – plus a personalised treatment plan. This plan includes up to 6 months of appointments to help manage medication (if prescribed) and regular prescription writing, ensuring your child receives the continuous support they need to thrive.

Get Long-term Care
For comprehensive, long-term support, our Premium Package includes everything in the Assessment Only plan, plus up to 12 months of appointments for medication management (if prescribed) and ongoing prescription writing. The Premium Care Package also includes letter-writing services for your child's school and other relevant parties, providing the necessary documentation to support their learning and well-being.

Treatment Plans for Mentalwell Patients
Mentalwell's approach to children's ADHD treatment is carefully step-by-step; we don't offer combined assessment and treatment packages upfront. Your child's journey begins with a comprehensive, psychiatrist-led assessment, allowing you to fully understand the findings, explore the support options, and ensure any decision regarding treatment is made thoughtfully.

The Path Towards Clarity
This 6-month post-assessment plan provides a titration plan by our clinical team to help find the right support for your child. The plan includes titration and follow-up appointments, along with surveys and ongoing support throughout the process to help you feel more in control.

This plan ensures you’re fully covered and supported by our dedicated team for an entire year after your assessment, even once titration is complete and treatment is stable. The plan includes 12 months of support, with ongoing adjustments as required.

When I first started this journey i spent months if not years re-searching companies who off this service. I suffer CPTSD, Amxiety, Depression and now diagnosed with ADHD. Contacting MentalWell was easy, had a very quick appointment with the relevant specialist and the day arrived. I was nervous, shaking and almost never dialed in to the meeting, the specialist really put me at ease and guided me through the process, i am now a week into treatment and all is going well, even the 1st titration appointment and receipt of medication was smooth. I can not thank these guys enough - wish I had found them years ago. Oh and as for the PRICE - the 1st company i contacted who offered the same service was going to charge approx £6k for a 6 month package. thank you MentalWell

I have been so impressed with this company. From the first contact there has been first class communication. I requested a call back last Thursday as I had some questions following my decision to pursue a private ADHD assessment. I was called within hours by Daniel, who was so friendly and helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. He explained the different packages they offer and that they even do payment plans. I then decided to go ahead as Mentalwell's assessments fully meet NICE guidelines and include a thorough written report and options for ongoing support and medication titration and management if applicable. I was able to get a next day appointment for an assessment with a psychiatrist. I was then emailed several questionnaires to complete beforehand so that the assessor can get some background information on you and the issues you're experiencing. The assessment was done via a Zoom video call and Dr Timothy was very knowledgeable and allowed me to take my time in answering all the questions, even if I did go off track a few times! My assessment was very thorough and took 2.5 hours. At the end of the assessment I was given my diagnosis there and then which was a huge relief as I'm not good at waiting for things! I was then straight away able to book another appointment with the same doctor to discuss medication options. That appointment is today, only 3 days following my assessment and diagnosis. All in all, a fantastic service. I have already recommended them to someone else, who has their assessment booked in for tomorrow! If you're thinking about going privately for your ADHD assessment, I can't imagine a better service than Mentalwell. Thank you so much!

An excellent service easy booking and during my assessment Dr Timothy made me feel extremely comfortable as I was very nervous I highly recommend this service who quickly respond to any queries. I am not sure who I initially spoke to when I called up to enquire but they gave me so much information and guided me through what the process would be . I am now currently awaiting my outcome letter and report.
